TRLS is a trading education and mentorship company founded by Sam Gilkes. We exist for one reason: to give aspiring traders the structured system, direct mentorship, and personal accountability that most trading education completely fails to provide.
We are not a signal service. We are not a trading platform. We do not manage funds or provide financial advice. We teach one proven system, and we do it through direct, hands-on mentorship where no student gets left behind.
Meet Sam Gilkes
Sam holds three degrees and was on the path to becoming a corporate lawyer before choosing to trade full-time. He spent years doing it the hard way — no mentor, no system, and every mistake you can make. The discipline and structure he eventually built came from lived experience, not theory.
He has been live-streaming his trading daily on YouTube since January 2024. Every trade is taken publicly, in real time, in front of his audience. Nothing is hypothetical. Nothing is backtested. His entire track record is documented and publicly verifiable.
Sam built TRLS because the mentorship he needed didn't exist when he was learning. The programme is designed to give students what he wished he'd had: one system, one mentor, and real accountability.
Why TRLS exists
Sam started trading during university and initially made money through luck during a bull market — which gave him a completely unrealistic view of what trading actually required. He went into law, worked long hours as a trainee solicitor, and traded on the side — poorly. Years of blowing funded accounts, revenge trading, and repeating the same psychological mistakes followed.
There was no single breakthrough moment. The change came through a sequence of deliberate steps: a behavioural system to stop repeating mistakes, removing environmental pressure triggers, a life decision to commit fully, and eventually teaching on YouTube — which accelerated his own development faster than anything else.
He built TRLS so that other traders would never have to go through the years of unstructured struggle he did. The programme exists to compress that learning curve through structured education and direct mentorship.
